Battery Materials and Pre-Processing

Various lithium-ion battery formats & chemistries exist, with diverse combinations of materials. We'll cover their distribution & raw material process

Four glass containers lined up, containing different materials used in battery production, including nickel, lithium, cobalt and manganese.

In the downloads section below, you will find a slide deck that takes you on a fascinating exploration of the essence of EV batteries: their raw materials. Like the ingredients of a secret potion, these materials have the magical ability to unlock the true power of e-mobility.

Stay focused as we delve into the elements that enliven these ingenious energy storage technologies. From the high-profile metals such as lithium, cobalt, nickel and manganese that attract attention, to the lesser-known components, the polymers and ceramics. We will introduce you to the range of elements that power these battery systems.
