This week we will look at How and Why fashion met gaming. Last week we laid the foundation for the fashion and gaming industry alliance and now we will explore the rising popularity of gaming and it’s appeal to advertising and marketing agencies as they hope to nurture consumer loyalty as displayed amongst the gaming community for gaming products and merchandise.

All sorts of consumer brands are now realizing the opportunities to connect with their customers through games. Who would have thought one day that video games would become an essential showcase for the fashion world? It is clearly becoming their new playground for presenting their collections and shaking up the public’s buying habits.

Let’s explore the reasons why video games will be increasingly central to an industry not typically associated with gaming and how the two industries are doing it. We will also look at the new players, digital fashion agencies.
