Fashion and gaming are merging and creating a new form of consumer culture and entertainment industry.
It is time for us to end this path too before deciding if we want to insert coin(s) and continue, or just finish here.

I have introduced the interest in subcultures like cosplayers followed by video gaming. We passed through the last century’s major gaming events, discovering how the digital arts impacted the way in which we live today, the concept of beauty and reality and we have met some of the most relevant digital models. We found influences that brought fashion to the video gaming industry. Some collaborations were more successful than others, but all of them represent a milestone for those companies that took the courage to enter a new arena.

According to Frank Lantz, the Director of the New York University Game Center: “Making games combines everything that is hard about building a bridge and everything that’s hard about composing an opera. Games are operas made out of bridges”[88]. And what if I add that, “Making fashionable games combines everything that is hard about coding and everything that’s hard about the creation of a collection”?

To support this thought I want to stress how these two Industries can be a very good match: video games as fashion, are where objective and rational system design meets subjective emotional and aesthetic design; where technology meets art; where engineering meets composition. In conclusion, the evolution of the fashion industry will pass from e-commerce to e-ntertainment: the re-volution has started, and we are all pressing play to continue. Fashion is a game: remember that, and gaming is fundamental in each field of our lives.
