That’s it! You’ve finished the course. We hope it’s been educational, but also inspiring and exciting for you to learn about all these intriguing areas of modern physics research going on here at the University of York. As usual, if there’s anything you’d like to discuss, ideas to share, questions to ask – or you’d just like to drop in for a chat – then join the discussion down below. Otherwise, we hope we see you again sometime in the future, whether through more online courses like this, or even as a student in one of our degree courses. I might even see you in my physics classes. You never know.

This week we have explored the world of quantum and particle physics.

We hope that you were inspired by the applications of this research to areas as diverse as medical physics, quantum communications, and global security, and were excited by some of the new discoveries that have the potential to revolutionise our understanding of the universe.

We want to hear from you! Ask your questions, share your ideas and tell us what you have enjoyed this week by commenting below.
