Congratulations on completing Week 1 of the course! Hopefully, you’ve gained some key insights into what a project is and how it’s defined. During this week we covered the ‘Initiate’ stage of the Project Life-Cycle. You learned how to define the goals of a project, identify the objectives and trade-offs among them, and to think about the organization and stakeholders. You’ve listened to real-life examples of projects successes and failures.

During Week 2 of the course you will be introduced to the “Plan” stage of the Project Life-Cycle. You will cover how to do the following: identify the scope; identify the tasks, dependencies, and schedule; plan resources; and clarify trade-offs and decision making principles.
