Being globally aware

It’s easy to forget how interconnected our world is, but take a moment to listen to the experiences of the students. Ivet’s family’s employment, Ollie’s involvement in sport, Leah’s travelling and Nevada’s upbringing have all had significant impacts on their lives.

Yolanden, a student at Henley Business School, South Africa, describes his experience of becoming more globally aware as a transformation that has had a significant impact on his sense of meaning and purpose:

“The impact of (assuming a) globalisation mindset has been like putting on a pair of glasses that allows me to see beyond geographical borders and cultural differences. Suddenly, the world becomes a mosaic of interconnectedness, where every decision and action ripples across continents. This mindset has not only opened my eyes to the vast opportunities that lie beyond my immediate surroundings, but has also instilled in me a sense of responsibility as a global citizen. By engaging with diverse perspectives and cultures and learning to navigate global complexities, I’m not just preparing myself for a successful career, I’m laying the groundwork for a life filled with meaningful connections and impactful contributions…”
