Introduction to Week 3

A short introductory video from Fran Hunt.
5.6
Over the course so far, we’ve looked at a wide range of topics beginning with an exploration of diverse perspectives on global education in policy and practise, then moving on to a discussion of the key elements and approaches in the field. In this final week of the course, we want to help you to take this global learning journey forward and consider where you might like to apply it in your practise. We start by asking you where you are in your own professional journey and consider where you’d like to go now.

We’ll then explore some of the practical tools and approaches that support global education in your school and hear more from teachers around the world who are currently engaged in this work. We’ll end the week by sharing links to a range of opportunities for further learning, helpful resources, and networks of support that you might like to access in future and also asking you to share your reflections of your learning on this MOOC. For those of you who plan to complete your course assessment, you might like to look again at the instructions for that now, as our discussions this week will directly link to the topics of this assessment.

Welcome to Week 3. This is our final week and we want to help you to apply what you have learned so far to your own current and future practice.

We will encourage you to reflect on your present context and teaching experiences, provide you with some practical tools and resources to better support global education in your school, and hear more from teachers around the world who are engaged in this kind of work.

The week and course will end by flagging some future networks for support and offer a peer-supported course assessment, in which you will actively reflect on your practice and provide some feedback to another learner.
