Wellbeing

Food for Thought

The recent Covid-19 (2019-2023) pandemic reminded us all that human health is inextricably connected to planetary, economic and societal health and wellbeing. We need to be invested in long-term changes and together we need to significantly reduce CO2 in our atmosphere

Before you begin we would like you to reflect about what you hope to achieve from this course, what is the difference you want to make and how we can help you to achieve it.

We understand that the climate crisis may elicit an emotional response and could possibly cause significant anxiety. Below is a list of resources providing support with concerns and apprehension about climate change, global warming and the climate crisis, also known as eco-anxiety.

Emotional responses to Climate Change

“Climate change poses serious risks to mental health and well-being, concludes a new WHO policy brief, launched today at the Stockholm+50 conference. The Organization is therefore urging countries to include mental health support in their response to the climate crisis, citing examples where a few pioneering countries have done this effectively”
