Welcome to Week 2!

This week you will be learning about:

  • Our Time’s unique approach to supporting young people living with parental mental illness, through their ‘KidsTime’ and ‘Who Cares?’ initiatives

  • How these initiatives are helping young people

  • How the principles of these approaches can be applied in your own setting

Please note that you may spot the term ‘COPMI’ used throughout the rest of the course. This acronym stands for ‘Children of a parent with a mental illness’. This is used for convenience at times, but is not at all intended to suggest that the experiences of these children and young people should be generalised. We emphasise throughout the course that every child and young person should be treated as an individual, based on their personal circumstances.
