Using a dictionary to build up collocations.

There is a wide range of collocations in English, and it is unrealistic to try to learn them all. One of the most effective ways to expand your pool of collocations is to discover them using a dictionary.

ozdic.com is a free website where you can learn more collocations. You enter a word and the dictionary will display all the possible collocations.

We previously looked at some collocations with rain, but when we enter this in ozdic.com, we can see that there are many more:
