Talk about Culture : Seasonal Sporting Activities

What kinds of seasons are there in your country or hometown? What are some seasonal activities you can enjoy?

What kind of seasons are there in the region you live in? And what is the weather like?

There are four seasons in Korea, including spring, summer, fall and winter, so you can experience various weather across different seasons. Summer and winter tend to be fairly long whereas spring and fall are very short.

The outdoor sporting activities tend to vary slightly depending on the season. Nonetheless, many enjoy outdoor activities on a mountain, and the reason is that there are many mountains around and several of them are low in altitude that are relatively easy to climb.

In spring or fall, there are many people who go on hiking and enjoy flowers and foliage, and in the summer, some people go to a beach or go on river rafting in a mountain valley. As you can see from this image, river rafting is an outdoor activity that involves riding a boat in a rapid current. It helps you cool down just by looking at the image, doesn’t it?

Additionally, in winter you can enjoy skiing in a small mountain. A lot of ski resorts in Korea are located in Kangwon-do, a region that gets a lot of snow. Likewise, there are a lot of seasonal sporting activities you can enjoy in Korea. How is it in your country?
