Grammar 2 (Verb-는 게 좋겠다)

Grammar 2 (Verb-는 게 좋겠다)

Let’s study in detail the expressions we learned today.

“Verb-(으)ㄴ/는 게 좋겠다”

In the dialogue we learned today, there was ‘그러는 게 좋겠어요.’. ‘Verb-(으)ㄴ/는 게 좋겠다’ is an expression used to give advice to the other person.

If you consult with a friend because he has a problem or concern, you can use this expression to give him helpful words, or advice.

But advice doesn’t have to be professional. You can give them advice on what you think is the best thing you know. For example, if you have a friend who has a cold, you can give a friend some light advice, such as “따뜻한 차를 마시는 게 좋겠다=You’d better drink warm tea.”
