Let’s Get to Work

And now you can put it all together.

This part of the work you need to do on your feet. The only way to really see what you have at this point is to get up and act and try it out.

Trust that you should by now have all the building blocks you need for a full performance. But, as you’re putting it all together, don’t try to do everything at once. You’re not supposed to show the audience all the work you’ve done. No, your preparations should only be there to help you. Not make things more difficult and add extra pressure.

This is a process of discovery and of trial and error. You might change parts of your preparation as you start working. In fact, you most probably will. And this is as it should be. But having done your preparations in a structured manner, changing things will be much easier because you can look at all the elements as separate things and work on them one at a time.

So, find a space to work in and start doing some acting.
