Course introduction

Introdurciton of this course.

In this course, we will explore AI in pulmonary medicine, especially how can AI aid in detecting pulmonary diseases in clinical cases.

Topics include:

  • AI in respiratory medicine: current trends and future possibilities
  • The role of AI in diagnosing lung diseases
  • AI and IoT for sleep-disordered breathing and post Covid-19 respiratory care
  • AI for home-based pulmonary rehabilitation in COPD

This course is designed for clinical practice due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic and is based on a MOOCs model of teacher training. The course integrates the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in thoracic medicine, diagnosis, clinical management, application, and education of respiratory diseases. Through the platform, we aim to cultivate an independent learning attitude and lifelong learning habits among students, nurture quality medical professionals, and provide the public with accurate and quality medical and healthcare knowledge.

Photo The course is proposed by a deceased professor, Dr. Chen, Yen-Chou. He passed away during the process of creating this course. In commemorating his contribution to the field of medicine during his lifetime, several faculty members developed this course together on this topic: artificial intelligence in the medical treatment of lung diseases. We have 5 educators in this course.
