Michael Weiss is a professor in the Department of Linguistics at Cornell University. He works on Indo-European Linguistics and focuses on Greek, Latin and the other Italic languages, and Old Irish. Among his many publications are the monographs “Language and Ritual in Sabellic Italy,” which examines the Umbrian Iguvine Tables, “Outline of the Historical and Comparative Grammar of Latin” and an introductory textbook about Tocharian B.
