<v ->Welcome to week four,</v> and welcome to my home. Last week, we talked about the atmosphere. We talked about what it’s made of, the structure. We talked a little bit about our impact on the atmosphere. And we talked a little bit about what global climate change is and what it means for our environment. This week, we’re going to talk about waste. And sometimes, waste can be a bit of a boring topic, but I don’t think it is. I think there’s actually some really interesting things about waste. And one of the interesting things about waste is it’s one of the ways that we can make and change our behaviors to have a greater impact or a lesser impact on the environment.

And so this week, we’re going to cover categories of waste. We’ll cover how that waste is disposed of, and some of the causes, effects and solutions. We’ll cover the special categories of waste around hazardous materials. And then finally, we’ll talk about recycling, reuse and refurbishment as solutions to waste problems in the environment.

Welcome to week 4. This week we will turn our attention to waste generation and the ways that we can change our behaviours to address waste problems that affect the environment.
