Role playing 1

Role play : Can you dance? No, I cannot dance.

This week we’re talking about ‘~할 수 있어요.’

For words like “Swimming”, “basketball”, “baseball”, “yoga”, etc… you have to use the verb ‘to do (in Korean 하다). However, in some cases, the verb is different. With “dance “ you´ll have to use the verb ‘추다(to dance)’ and say ‘춤을 출 수 있어요.’

  • 수영을 하다
  • 야구를 하다
  • 춤을 추다

Let’s practice some more dialogue for better pronunciation through Role playing. you can choose a character (Jenny or Michael) try to practice one more time.

1) Female student’s part of the dialogue

  • 남학생 : 세연 씨는 춤을 출 수 있어요?

  • 여학생 : 네, 춤을 __.

  • 여학생 : 준혁 씨는 춤을 __?

  • 남학생 : 아니요, 저는 춤을 못 춰요.

2) Male student’s part of the dialogue

  • 남학생 : 세연 씨는 춤을____?

  • 여학생 : 네, 춤을 출 수 있어요.

  • 여학생 : 준혁 씨는 춤을 출 수 있어요?

  • 남학생 : 아니요, 저는 춤을____.
