Ahn: This sentence “Nonggu reul kach’i hal kkayo?” is used when proposing someone to play basketball together. While the answer “Johayo, kach’i haeyo” is said when you accept the suggestion. While “undongjang” is where you play basketball. In Korean, we put the particle “eseo” after the name of the place where we perform an action. Now then, shall we practice some more using other words? Anna and Joel, try to do it on your own.

Ahn: Okay, let’s ride bicycles together. So, until now we have practiced the lesson using the verbs for ‘playing basket’ and ‘riding a bicycle’. Let´s learn a few more words to practice today´s expressions.

This sentence ‘~를 같이 할까요?’ is used when proposing someone to activity together. While the answer ‘좋아요. 같이 해요’ is said when you accept the suggestion. While we put the particle ‘~에서’ after the name of the place where we perform an action.

Example 1)

  • A: 조엘 씨는 농구를 좋아해요?

  • B : 네, 저는 농구를 좋아해요.

  • A :우리 같이 운동장에서 농구를 할까요?

  • B : 좋아요. 같이 해요.

Example 2)

  • A: 안나 씨는 자전거를 잘 타요?

  • B : 아니요, 저는 자전거를 잘 못 타요. 조엘 씨는 자전거를 잘 타요?

  • A: 네, 저는 자전거를 잘 타요. 우리 같이 공원에서 자전거를 탈까요?

  • B : 좋아요. 같이 타요.
