Prof.Ahn: Good. However, there’s the possibility that you don’t like the clothes. What should we say in that case? Anna.

Anna: The pants are too small. Prof.

Ahn: Yes, you just need to tell how they fit you, to do this we first need to learn a few more adjectives. Anna’s pants are small, so she said ‘baji-ga jogeum(jom) jakayo”. What should you say if the size is too big?

Anna: The pants are too big.

Prof.Ahn: Well done. Until now we have practiced how to say what think about something we just tried on. Now let’s study some other words to practice today’s lesson.

Please follow the instructions with the educator.

After trying something on in a shop, the clerk will ask us ‘어떠세요?’. If we like the clothes and we want to buy them we should answer ‘좋아요. 이걸로 주세요.’

However, there’s the possibility that you don’t like the clothes. you just need to tell how they fit you. Also, in this expression ‘좀’ is a shorten form of ‘조금’ (which means ‘little bit’ in English) so you can use both.

Example 1)

  • A : 손님, 어떠세요?

  • B : 좋아요. 이걸로 주세요.

Example 2)

  • A : 손님, 어떠세요?

  • B : 바지가 조금(좀) 작아요. / 바지가 조금(좀) 커요.

Let’s Practice Korean together.
