File location

Article detailing how malware can blend into your computer system by hiding itself in hidden or system folder areas.
File location

Malware wants to hide on your computer and there are essentially two locations namely; user areas or system areas.

The first location is simply hiding somewhere in your user account. Your user account has many hidden folders and it is not uncommon malware to hide in these areas specifically the AppData folder area. This AppData folder is a hidden directory located in the root of your user account.

Malware hidden within a system area can be more difficult to locate depending on the complexity of the malware.
