Week 1 summary

A short summary of what we learned in week 1.
Congratulations! You have reached the end of Week 1.

What you learned this week

This week we learned the basics: what are users, what is user research, and what are user needs. You learned about the essential skills needed for user research and what some user researchers do on a day-to-day basis.

You practiced writing user needs and user stories and coming up with acceptance criteria to determine when something can be called finished.

Coming up next week

In Week 2, we will look at user research in the context of the UK government. We will learn about agile methods, the Service Standard and the Design Principles. We will also explore the importance of inclusivity and accessibility in research.

End of week test

The next step is a short review test on what you learned this week.
