“Amen” with a C blues playalong

We illustrate using the device "Amen" in the left hand with a C blues playalong.
Let’s have a go at using our Amen with a skeletal blues in C with a playalong. We’ll just, first of all, start off by playing the left hand. 1,2,3,4.
Right. Let’s now add the right hand to this. 1,2,3,4.
Let’s try doing the same thing, but with a stabbed version. 1,2,3,4.
I’d like you to practice your Amens.
I’d like you, then, to have a go at mixing these different approaches because that’s what one does when one’s playing a real solo is - on occasion to have some Amens - on occasion to have some legato chords - on occasion to have some stabbed chords - sometimes on the beat, sometimes on the ands, so that you get a mixture. Like this 1,2,3,4.
