Artificial Intelligence, also known as AI or Machine Intelligence, are computer programs that can perform tasks that up to now have required human intelligence.

AI is said to be evident when a machine can sense its environment and act in a way that allows it to achieve its goals. To put it another way, through AI, machines mimic human level thinking and actions, often exponentially better than humans can.

This short course will introduce you to AI and will explore a myriad ways AI has already started to change the world.

Course Objectives

  • Define artificial intelligence and determine what makes technology artificially intelligent
  • Identify current and potential future uses of artificial intelligence and explore the impacts, opportunities and risks of these on business and society.
