Why is empathy a foundation for UX design?
User Experience Design differs from other design disciplines by focusing on the user and the relationship of the user with the product. So before we even begin designing anything, we should UNDERSTAND who we are designing for and how we can help.
You are not your user, and your opinions are not representative of the majority. And that is a good thing. That gives you perspective to observe and analyse the problem.
UX can help you understand your user.
