The Impact of UX Design

DOMINIC SANTUCCI: Typically or historically, you know, Agile has changed a lot of this, but, you know, going back, rewinding, even just to a decade ago, it was information, communication specialists, maybe a CIO, a business lead, you know, would sit in a room and make design decisions, we’re going to implement this system as an internet, as an example, again, and that would go out and deploy it. And that made some what the software engineers role, although it’s a simpler, so obviously, that that still face technical challenges, but there was probably a lot less changes, you know, a lot less focus on having yet another stakeholder and in our case, our primary stakeholder being the users.
There’s a lot more stakeholders for them to start to manage and get that feedback from. So in other respects, I think it’s made their life a lot easier, you know having a high fidelity wireframe to actually go out and produce a UI office is a lot easier than just a simple functional specification document. You know, there’s removing of ambiguity, if you will. So, you know, probably a good question to ask the software engineer, I’m sure that they’ll probably argue that fact with me quite a bit.
