We are nearing the end of this eight-week course.

You have learned so much about:

  • Learning through play (recognise holistic skills developed by children at play, identify the five characteristics of playful learning, understand the benefits of learning through play, understand the core components of lessons designed for learning through play)

  • LEGO Braille Bricks concept (gain knowledge regarding how the LEGO Braille Bricks concept can meet students tactile learning needs)

  • Pre-braille activities (differentiate and understand 3 types of pre-braille activities: manipulation, orientation, and constellation, develop facilitation techniques for tactile brick discovery, find new tools for braille cell discovery and arrangement of dots)

  • Braille activities (discriminate and understand of 3 types of braille activities: characters, literacy and numeracy, teach braille letters and punctuation signs so that students can learn how to read and write, teach braille numbers and mathematical symbols, develop basic math and geometry lessons)

You are ready to:

  • Teach LEGO Braille Bricks concept
  • Adapt LEGO Braille Bricks method to promote Learning through Play into everyday lessons
  • Assess students’ progress while engaged in play-based literacy and numeracy activities
