Collaboration on Learning for Climate Action

It’s clear that demands for climate action are global and increasing. Sharing thinking between governments, government departments, businesses, education sectors, communities and individuals is a crucial aspect of COP26.

During this conference, Education and Environment Ministers from across the world have come together to make a joint commitment to ‘collaborate and invest in education for a sustainable future’.

You can watch some of the pledges that have been made by individual countries (Finland, Sri Lanka, Andorra, Cameroon, Spain, Nicaragua and Greece) in this video:

And in this video Baroness Barran MBE, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Education in England, shares more about the developments for education on sustainability in the English curriculum, announced at the time of COP26.

Sharing thinking is also a key feature of the Teach the Teacher global campaign where students and teachers collaborate on learning together about and for climate action.
