Navigating a day at COP27

Insights into navigating the UN Blue Zone and the Green Zone at COP27
#AfricaCOP27

Beth Christie is a Senior Lecturer in Moray House School of Education and Sport at the University of Edinburgh and one of the University of Edinburgh Observer delegates at COP27, attending events within the UN Blue Zone. This Zone is the area at COP behind the security checkpoint that requires a badge to enter.

Within the Blue Zone, countries, territories and organisations host Pavilions where they showcase what they are doing on climate change and offer programmes of exhibitions, speakers, and receptions.

The Inner Blue Zone is beyond the security cordon and this is where Ministers, accredited government officials, individuals and organisations enter into formal international negotiations over climate change actions and agreements.

In this short video, Beth gives an insider perspective on how best to navigate the busy, noisy expanse of the Blue Zone at COP27.
