A new Draft Agreement was published early this morning. You can read a detailed analysis of the emerging text in this overview from Carbon Brief.

A deal must be agreed by the end of the summit, which is due to be completed by 1800 GMT today, 18 November. However, it is now expected that negotiations will continue into the weekend.

In a note sent this morning, the UN Secretary General has urged parties to aim for maximum ambition on loss and damage and in reduction of emissions.

Today, Professor Dave Reay, Policy Director at ClimateXChange, Executive Director at Edinburgh Climate Change Institute and Professor of Carbon Management at the University of Edinburgh, shares his reflections on what has been achieved so far- and what has still to be done in the final hours.

This is an additional video, hosted on YouTube.
