Creating a game using GDevelop

Have you ever wanted to create your own game? In this article, we break down the steps in game design for you to develop one of your own.

For this article, we’ve put together a step-by-step guide to creating your own video game using the free software, GDevelop.

A guide (in pdf) can be found in the downloads section below, and will walk you through:

  • Setting up your project
  • Making a background
  • Adding in layers
  • Choosing and adding in a character
  • Centring your camera.

Along with some suggestions to continue develop your skills and pointers to resources to help you achieve this.
