Practical: Plotting and importing data

A practical article, on importing and plotting data, and running a simple machine learning classifier

The first step in any machine learning project is to access and inspect the data.

In this practical we will open a sample dataset, plot some information from it, and train a simple machine learning classifier.

All the instructions are in the attached pdf in the Downloads section below.

We would encourage you to type the code in as you follow the practical through, to get in the practice of writing your own code.

However, if you get stuck, the sample script practical1.py containg all the code used in the practical can be downloaded from our Github repository at https://github.com/LAR/PhenoDataCampp/tree/main/MachineLearning.
