What do we mean by model selection?

Once you’ve picked which family of models to use, you may still need to select hyperparameters to define a specific model within that family of models. These are the settings you need to choose before running the algorithm.

The video discusses this idea in more depth using the K-nearest neighbour algorithm as an example.
