Meet the Team

The course is led by Professor Tomo Goto, a Professor at the Institute of Astronomy, National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. He received his Ph.D from the University of Tokyo. He also has experiences in working at top institutes in astronomy around the world, including Johns Hopkins University, Japanese Aerospace eXploration Agency (JAXA), University of Hawaii, and the Niels Bohr Institute. His past press-releases include

  • A discovery of 100 distant supermassive black holes.
  • A detection of the most distant host galaxy of a supermassive black hole.
  • A discovery of the most distant proto galaxy cluster.
  • Revealing the cosmic star-formation history using the AKARI space infrared telescope.
