Bens morgen Ben’s morning
Ben står opp klokka halv sju. Kvart på sju dusjer han. Han drikker kaffe og spiser frokost klokka sju. Ben wakes up at half past six (06:30). He takes a shower at quarter to seven (06:45). He drinks coffee and eats breakfast at seven (07:00).
Kvart over sju vekker han Dina, og ti på halv åtte lager han frokost til Alex. He wakes Dina up at quarter past seven (07:15) and he makes breakfast for Alex at twenty past seven (07:20).
Han må være på jobb klokka åtte, men kontoret er like i nærheten. He must be at work at eight o’clock (08:00), but the office is just near by.
Klokka fem over halv åtte ser han på klokka. Det tar 20 minutter å gå. Han må dra. He checks the time at seven thirty-five (07:35). It takes 20 minutes to walk. He must leave.

Utenfor huset treffer han naboen, Hans Olsen. Outside the house, he meets the neighbour, Hans Olsen.
Hans: God morgen! Hans: Good morning!
Ben: Hei, Hans! Takk for sist! Ben: Hi, Hans! Good to see you ! (literally: Thank you for the last time!
H: I like måte. Går det bra? H: Likewise, is everything well?
B: Ja, nå er møblene på plass. B: Yes, all furniture is in place now.
H: Hvordan går det med familien? H: How’s your family?
B: Bra! Cecilie skal snart begynne på sykehuset. Barna begynner på skolen og i barnehagen. B: All well! Cecilie is about to start working at the hospital. The children start going to school and to the kindergarten.
H: Fint! Ha det bra! Jeg må kjøre. H: Nice! Good bye! I have to go.
B: Ha det! B: Good bye!

Ben liker nabolaget. Det er fint å bo nær jobben. Han liker å gå. Fem minutter på åtte er han allerede på kontoret. Ben likes the neighbourhood. It is nice to live near work. Five to eight (07:55) he’s already at the office.
