Look at the bitewings and consider the attached bio of this patient. In the next Step you will answer 5 questions about a suitable treatment plan for this patient

The patient SA is a 4-year-old boy who has been referred to you because there parents are worried about the colour and appearance of his teeth. He has also had some pain after eating.

History of the presenting complaint

The parents are mostly worried about the appearance of the teeth and they think the teeth came through like that. They also say that he has pain for a couple of minutes after eating. It might be getting worse but they can’t tell.

Medical History

Nil relevant

Social History

Came with Mother. SA is the first child.

Diet History

Drinks milk and water, snacks on fruit and crisps. Bottle fed until 18 months of age, slept with a bottle night. Formula milk in the bottle.

Toothbrushing

Once daily with child fluoride paste (250 ppm F-), unsupervised. They live in an area without water fluoridation.
