Optimising your strengths

Anna and Leigh outline what a strength is and how learning about your own strengths can maximise your future success.

In the video, Anna and Leigh told us all about how using our strengths – something we can and love to do – can help us boost our well being and sense of fulfilment.

They outlined how the University of York’s York Strengths programme helps students to identify their strengths. Even if you are not a current student at the University of York, you can still reflect on the nine strengths listed in the York Strengths Framework and see which ones you resonate with the most.

As an example, I consider myself to be an Organisational Fit Seeker because whichever aspect of my role I am working on, I make sure it aligns with my values. Putting together the information in this online course allows me to communicate to you some of the exciting aspects about university and how you can get involved to maximise your future success. Helping students work to their full potential is one of my key values.
