What’s happening next week?

An overview of Week 2 of the course, focussing on transitions, awareness, living conditions and keep it positive.

In the first week of the course, we covered physical health, emotional wellbeing and peer relationships. Next week we will be covering the second portion of the programme, ‘TALK’.

We’ll start by discussing transitions, referring to a return to school after extended periods of time off, and transitions that occur within school, such as graduating year groups and the pressure that exudes.

We will move on to cover awareness, where we will consider the impact of exposure. We’ll particularly think about how exposure to national and international news of events such as the pandemic may both empower and trigger anxieties within our young people.

We will also be looking at living conditions, exploring the state of the family home, members in the home and the dynamics at play.

We will close with ‘keep it positive’ a section dedicated to understanding how to end therapeutic relationships. We’ll be offering strategies that you can use to encourage and motivate our young people through the PEP TALK process.
