Solution to the graphical problem

In this question, you have too match each of the data sets, A, B, and C, with a particular line on the graph. Either the green line, the blue line, or the red line. A good way of doing this is to match the data points to the lines themselves. So for example, these three data points relate to the circled part of the graph, these three to the next point, these three to the next point, these three to the next point, these three to the next point, these three to the next point, these three to the next point, and these three to the final point.

Some of the points on the graph are easier to work out which line is which than others. I’m going to choose this one.

This is the fifth point. You can see that the lines are quite spread out here, and so it should be easier to identify which line is which. So, the bottom line here is green, and this must be the smallest value in the data set. So the green line must be data set C. The middle line is the red line. And the data set that has the middle value is data set B, and so B must represent the red line. Finally, the top line is the blue line. And data set A has the highest value in this particular point, so A must represent the blue line.

So, C is the green line, B is the red line, and A is the blue line.
