Week 3 Wrap-Up

Well done for reaching the end of Week 3. You are half-way through the course already!

In Week 3, we started to explore measures to adapt child protection programmes and approaches in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We looked specifically at:

• Adapting group and individual activities for children’s wellbeing;

• Preventing and responding to violence, abuse and neglect of children in the home;

• Community-based child protection work;

• Awareness raising; and

• The centrality of working across sectors and with governments to keep children safe.

In Week 4, our focus will remain on adapting child protection programmes, approaches and strategies during COVID-19. We will put the spotlight on case management, alternative care and justice for children.
