Hello, and welcome to Week 4.

You are now more than half-way through the MOOC on Protecting Children during COVID-19!

Last week we looked at adapting child protection strategies in COVID-19 with a focus on group activities for children’s well-being, family strengthening interventions and community-level child protection. We also explored considerations for working across sectors and with national actors to support child protection outcomes during the pandemic.

This week, we continue our learning journey on adapting child protection strategies during COVID-19 with a focus on case management, alternative care and children in detention. Towards the end of the week, we will start to consider the challenges that members of the social services workforce may experience as well actions that can be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of those working to support and protect children during COVID-19.
