Week 5 Wrap-up

The wrap-up of the week summarises the learning in Week 5 and gives a taste of what is to come in the final week of the MOOC.

Well done for reaching the end of Week 5! We hope that the course has been enjoyable and has introduced you to new ideas to support your work for children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have the final week of learning coming up.

Through Week 5, we have worked together to explore the safe and meaningful participation of children across child protection programming during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have focused in particular on online safety and ways to actively engage young people in COVID-19 response efforts. You have been asked to reflect on child participation in your own context and hopefully received useful and constructive feedback from fellow learners. We have concluded the week with some key points on the importance of inclusion and service continuity for children with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are now looking ahead to the final week of learning. During Week 6, we will focus on working with teams during COVID-19. This will include considerations for child protection practitioners who are introducing remote project management and remote monitoring. It will also look at adaptations to capacity-building efforts that are required to deliver safe and effective child protection services for children.

We look forward to celebrating course completion together soon!
