Congratulations on coming this far in the course.

JOHN SMITH: Hello. Well, here we are at the end of week 3. It’s hard to believe that there’s just one more week to go. We hope that by learning and practicing the skills come into the reading and listening sections of the test, you’re feeling more confident and having crystal chances of doing well in different test items. Remember, you can keep practicing the test for each week in the course as often as you like. We still have week 4 to explore and practice reading and listening some more. So, see you then.

Congratulations on coming this far in the course.

To recap this week, we highlighted that:

  • the reading and listening sections of PTE examine your ability to comprehend the meaning conveyed in a text.
  • many items in the PTE , test your ability to read and listen to gather information, key ideas and concepts in a text.
  • an important skill to improve vocabulary for reading and listening is inferring unknown vocabulary from context.
  • in English there are many words that go together or form fixed relationships. You will need to have a good understanding of these phrases and relationships to answer a number of PTE test items.
