Resources for Exploring the Principles Further
When you complete the industry assessment tool in week 3 of the course and receive the assessment reports, you will get access to a range of resources – videos, links to organisations and information, templates and workflows, good practice notes etc. These resources relate to ways in which the individual Safety by Design principles can be applied to build user safety features into online services, products and platforms. At this stage of the course, the Safety by Design Overview is a key resource that you should reference to explore the principles in more depth.
Safety by Design Overview
The eSafety Commissioner Safety by Design Overview is an extensive report that sets out in detail the foundations of the Safety by Design principles, the consultation processes and research that inform the development of these principles, as well as specific information about each of the components of the principles and supporting good practice notes associated with implementation.
