What sustainability certifications are accepted by New Zealand Wine

There are a number of independently audited programmes currently recognised by SWNZ.
There are a number of independent programmes are currently recognised by SWNZ. These programmes, while being sustainable, include an additional aspect and an organic element into the growing of grapes and the production of wine.

These are additional certifications include:

  • AsureQuality
  • BioGro-NZ
  • Demeter
  • SO 140001
  • As well as Sustainable Winegrowing NZ™ itself.

You may see the logos from these organisations on bottles of wine, on wine websites, blogs and other informative material that discusses and promotes wine.
