This course is organised in 4 weekly topics, including:

  • Week 1: Water, Soil and Plant Health

  • Week 2: Animal Health and Welfare

  • Week 3: Food Safety and Human Health

  • Week 4: Climate Change and Food Security.

Each week is designed around the thematic topic and will include a number of videos, discussions, case studies, and to test your understanding, an end of week quiz.

  • Video Presentations

Video presentations are included in weeks 1 to 4. Each video has a transcript which you can read by clicking ‘view transcript’ found underneath each video. You are also provided with video caption subtitles to use. Alternatively, you can select to turn these off by clicking a button at the bottom of the video.

  • Discussions

Throughout the course you are encouraged to share your thoughts and ideas with others in the comments area found at the bottom of every Step.

If you see something you like or find interesting, please let learners know by clicking on ‘Like’ or ‘Reply’ to respond to their comment. You can follow learners who have also joined the course as well as your Educators and Mentors. You can also filter discussions to include people or conversations that you find interesting. Talking about the course content is a great way to get to know others, to learn and consolidate information.

  • Case Studies

Each week you will be presented with a range of case studies. The aim is that they will provide you with a more in-depth knowledge of the thematic area.
