Communication and language in mathematics

The language of mathematics is both complex and abstract. Many misconceptions in mathematics arise out of problems of communication as well as an inability to express mathematical concepts appropriately. Teachers need to play special attention to how they communicate mathematically, as explained by the teachers in this video.
