And now we’re swinging back. We just worked through Trends in Technology, and now we’re coming back to Meditation, because some of us might need a breather. Now, meditation is something that’s done in many cultures around the world. Many, many different people have meditative practices that they work on, and it’s something that can be incorporated in your daily life so that you can continue to be aware and you can continue to consider how to empty your mind and how to come back out and really tackle your day. The next video we have isn’t about anything in specific. There’s lots of videos and lots of techniques that you can use.

As we move through the modules, we’ll be having meditations for you to open with so that you can experiment with a few different kinds of meditation. But really, what this is focusing on is the value and the need to do it. So this is a Ted Talk we found by a gentleman by the name of Andy Puddicombe, and he talks about ten mindful minutes. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you think about how to incorporate meditation practices into your daily life.

In addition to embodiment and mindfulness, meditation is also an extremely helpful competency for you to develop.

Meditation helps you maintain your balance throughout your busy day, and can help you combat depression and fatigue. It doesn’t have to be a long, drawn out process. Even ten minutes per day can help.

This next talk is a really good one meant to help you think about adding short, purposeful meditation breaks in your day. There are no exercises or quizzes associated with this section, although we do hope you take at least ten minutes to meditate sometime today, and each day to come.
