Life Below Water

So, we just looked at some videos on climate change and the next SDG we’re going to take a look at is closely related, and it’s SDG 14 Life Below Water. This next series of videos is going to talk about what’s happening in our oceans and our waterways. We’re talking about some challenging topics around ocean acidification, meaning the oceans are becoming more acidic. It’s harder for animals to grow and to thrive in an acidic ocean. We talk about ocean hypoxia. We talk about areas in the ocean that are becoming depleted of oxygen, which we depend on to breathe.
So let’s take a look at some of the concerns and some of the positive things we can do to clean up our oceans and our waterways so that life below water can be healthy, just like life on land.

This next series of videos focus on some important topics regarding life below water.

Between humans polluting the water and climate change affecting our oceans, we need to take better care of the water resources we have.

After watching the videos, follow the directions in the next step regarding the exercise we have prepared for this activity.
