Throughout the next four weeks we will explore a wide range of topics within transfer medicine and hear from transfer specialists about their experiences in different modalities across different environments.

We hope you enjoy the interactive experience and benefit from our expert international faculty of paramedics, doctors, nurses, engineers and pilots.

Support & Endorsement

Four logos of the endorsing societies We are proud to announce that this course is endorsed by The Royal College of Anaesthesists, the British Association of Critical Care Nurses, the School of Paramedics, the National Association of EMS Physicians and the Society for Obesity and Bariatric Anaesthesia UK

Over four years of course development we’ve worked with a variety of societies and companies, the global contribution of which has added immense value to the course. We’d like to express our gratitude for the support from:

We are grateful for funding received from UCLH, UCLH Charity, and Health Education England through the London Transformation and Learning Collaborative, a Health Education England and NHS England and improvement initiative, as part of the education response for its Adult Critical Care programme. All have helped us to produce the high quality material, videos and infographics included.

This Course Is Multi-Disciplinary

It is intended for everyone involved in the transfer and care of critically unwell patients. This includes dedicated transfer practitioners, nursing staff of all grades from emergency and critical care medicine, operating department practitioners, anaesthetists, intensive care doctors, pre-hospital doctors and paramedics.

We also welcome anyone at any stage of training with an interest in the topic, and to help with training we have aligned this course with the transfer medicine requirements set out in the curricula of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, and the national competency framework for adult critical care nurses.

We know that clinical practice can be really varied across the world, so as well as covering the clinical, physiological and human factor aspects of critical transfers, this course will help to showcase a global perspective on the current state of transfer medicine.

Transferring patients globally across borders adds specific challenges for the entire team which we will discuss in more detail later in the course.

This Course Is International

We are delighted to collaborate with a number of retrieval organisations worldwide. Throughout the course you will be invited to the interactive map; a showcase of the scope of work that these organisations carry out.
