In the first week of the course you will explore the scope of transfer medicine practice and come to understand the varying factors involved in transferring critically unwell patients.

• Create an organised strategy to minimise these risks
• Appreciate the parallels between transfer medicine and the aviation industry
• Understand the relevant human factor skills for effective team-working and situational awareness
